Music
We are excited to again offer many choices for music lessons this upcoming school year including Little Mozarts, Piano, Voice, Strings, and Band Instruments! Our teachers are very proficient in their fields and have many years of teaching experience.
Our purpose is to train students to fully develop their musical abilities to bring glory to God through excellence in music. We desire to inspire character and Christian virtues through every musical endeavor. Our highly trained faculty, excellent facilities, and music education program inspire students to discover their talents and hone their skills in an encouraging environment.
Comprehensive music education is available to every student. Our youngest students participate in engaging general music classes. The pre-school seasonal programs give children the opportunity to acquire performance skills, experience fun music, and perform for their families. Many are involved in the Little Mozart’s program which is designed to introduce students to musical concepts that will instill a love for music.
Every student is involved with worship music through our vibrant chapel program. They sing together as a student body and perform in groups. Learning to praise God with instruments and voices is a vital part of the educational experience.
Our students have been able to pursue their musical aspirations in higher education and music ministry. We have music students who have successfully attended major universities because of their preparation at the academy.
Elementary
The elementary seasonal programs are the highlight of the elementary experience. Students have the opportunity to act and sing with several hundred students in spectacular performances. Beginning in 4th grade, every student can be involved in the band/orchestra program. In the spring, our upper elementary participates in the NCCSA Fine Arts Competition. Students participate in speech, art, music solo (vocal and instrumental), music ensemble (vocal and instrumental), band, and choir events.
Elementary general music classes teach important music concepts that develop musicianship. Students are introduced to the best music in a fun interactive setting. We desire to instill a life-long love for music in every child.
Middle School
Middle school students can participate in private instruction, choir, band-orchestra, handbells, and various ensembles. Seasonal concerts and fine arts competitions bring out the best in student achievement. The annual NCCSA music clinic gives band students an excellent opportunity for inspirational music experience with several hundred students from around the state.
High School
The high school students perform in special programs throughout the year. We offer band-orchestra, choir, handbell choir, and various vocal and instrumental ensemble experiences. Our students have won numerous awards in the state and national fine arts competitions. The band and choir students have the opportunity to participate in the North Carolina Christian School Association Music Clinic each year in Raleigh, NC. Several of our students have earned seats in the honors band.
