MEDICATION AT SCHOOL
Emergency and/or Mandatory Meds
Students with the following medical diagnoses may need to have prescription meds with them at school: Asthma, Epilepsy, Diabetes, Fatal allergies which require the use of an Epi-Pen and ADHD. If your child requires medication while on campus, there a few steps that must be taken prior to the first day of school. Over-the-Counter Meds
The following Over-the-Counter Medications are available to all students whose parents have given permission via Sycamore during enrollment. These approved medications are kept on hand in both the Elementary Sick Room and MS/HS Infirmary.
Acetaminophen 160 mg chewable tablets, 160 mg per 5 ml oral suspension, regular strength 325 mg tablets
Chewable Antacid tablets (Calcium Carbonate 750 mg) for gas, bloating, stomach discomfort
Triple Antibiotic first aid topical ointment
Calamine topical spray
Hydrocortisone 1% Cream topical
Ibuprofen 100 mg chewable tablets, 100 mg per 5 ml oral suspension, or 200 mg tablets for pain/ fever
Please note: By law, Benadryl and other antihistamine/allergy meds may not be administered unless authorized by a physician for a severe allergy.
